2025 Flu Vaccination Programme

 

The NHS flu & Covid vaccination programme for 2025 is starting soon, and our practice will be running dedicated clinics for eligible patients.

 

Who Can Get a Free Flu Vaccine?

From 1 September 2025:

  • Children aged 2 or 3 (on 31 August 2025)
  • School-aged children (Reception to Year 11 offered via school)
  • Pregnant women
  • Children aged 6 months to under 18 in clinical risk groups

From 1 October 2025:

  • Adults aged 65 and over
  • Adults aged 18 to 64 in clinical risk groups
  • Residents in care homes
  • Carers and household contacts of people with weakened immune systems
  • Frontline health and social care workers

Who can get a Covid Vaccine: 

  • adults aged 75 years and over
  • residents in care homes for older adults
  • individuals who are immunosuppressed aged 6 months and over 
 

How to Book your appointment

Appointments will be available to book from 4th September 2025

Children and pregnant women can be seen from September.

You can book your appointment once open:

  • Via a booking link sent via SMS or email.
  • Speaking to reception when visiting/calling
 

Why It’s Important

Flu can be serious, especially for those with long-term health conditions or weakened immune systems.
