Student Medical Registration Events 2026

Welcome to Oxford and congratulations on securing your place at university!

Northgate Health Centre will be holding Student Medical Registration Events during Michaelmas Term for students who have ongoing healthcare needs and would benefit from meeting with our clinical team.

Who should attend?

We invite students to attend if they:

  • Have a pre-existing medical condition.
  • Take regular or repeat medication, including contraceptives.
  • Have ongoing healthcare needs that may require support while studying in Oxford.
  • Need to discuss vaccinations or their medical history with a member of the clinical team.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to meet a GP for a brief health review and to discuss any current medical needs/repeat medications.

Event details

Friday 9 October 2026

1.30pm to 5.30pm at Regent's Park College and New College

Saturday 10 October 2026

8:30am to 1:00pm at Hertford College and Magdalen College

Saturday 10 October 2026

1:30pm to 5:30pm at Christ Church and Worcester College

Why attend?

Registering with a local GP and discussing any existing medical conditions or medications early in the academic year helps us ensure that you can access the healthcare and support you need while studying in Oxford. This is particularly important for students who require ongoing prescriptions, monitoring, or specialist care.

If you are currently taking regular medication, we recommend ensuring you have an adequate supply when you arrive in Oxford while arrangements are made for your continuing care.

Register with Northgate Health Centre

Students who have not yet registered with Northgate Health Centre are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. Otherwise, please attend the event anyway, and we will register you when you arrive.
