Clinics

Asthma and COPD Clinic

Patients with Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are encouraged to attend for annual review at the practice. These reviews may include peak flow monitoring, spirometry, inhaler technique, a personalised action plan, and medication review. The review may also include access to other more specialised tests, for example tests that measure exhaled nitric oxide (FENO). FENO is very good at helping to make decisions about inhaled steroid use; when to use it, and increase or reduce it. It is a simple blowing test that can be done by children as young as 5 years of age.

This test is not suitable for everyone and will be discussed by the GP.

Child Health

We offer 6 to 8 week health checks for babies, usually at the same time as the check for the mother. Please request a double appointment.

We have baby changing facilities and space to leave buggies in the practice and a breast feeding room.

Counselling

Patients can self-refer for Talking Therapy to NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies

Diabetes

The practice offers annual reviews for all our patients with Diabetes. The first appointment is usually with our Healthcare Assistant and will be blood tests, a urine test, a blood pressure check and a foot check.

A week after this appointment you will be asked to book a review with our Diabetes Nurse, our GP with an interest in Diabetes or your usual GP.

Family Planning and Contraception

Our practice nurses offer appointments for contraception advice and annual contraception reviews. Information can also be found on the Oxfordshire Sexual Health Website

Flu and Pneumococcal vaccinations

Offered annually in the case of flu vaccine to all at-risk patients

Health Visitor

Health visitors are qualified nurses with specialist training in the health and development of babies and children. They provide information, advice and support for mothers with young children. They will visit new mothers and babies and advise about vaccinations and general health care. They have expertise in many problems affecting babies and children, including breast and bottle feeding advice, teething, sleep disorders, behavioural problems and child welfare concerns.

They can be contacted on 01865 903800.
