Georgie commenced her medical career at the Breast Imaging Centre at the Churchill Hospital as a Nursing Assistant. Georgie’s career path as changed she took a particular interest in emergency medicine. Georgie graduated with a foundation degree in Paramedic Science from the University of Worcester in 2018 and began working as a frontline paramedic with South Central Ambulance Service, post-graduation.

Whilst proud & honoured to have worked intensely during the pandemic, Georgie’s appreciation for acute illness & injury increased. Georgie began her training to be a Specialist Paramedic in 2021. This involved the completion of two level 7 modules (Masters equivalent): Minor Injury & Minor Illness (West London University).

The course provided Georgie with an enhance skill set, including wound closure, x-ray interpretation and catheter insertion. She decided it was time to step away from the fast pace of the ambulance service and work in an environment where she could utilise her new skill set. Georgie joined Northgate in January 2023.

However, Georgie’s Paramedic boots aren’t hung up just yet as she accepts a bank shift for emergency response at her leisure!

Georgie’s role at the practice is to address urgent primary care needs, while working through our daily triage list in order to prioritise & care for patients who require prompt medical treatment or advice. Her area of expertise is wound closure, infections & minor injuries.
