Caring for our rowers to keep them free from injury

Dr Matthew Easdale is the the medical officer for the Boat Club. He has considerable experience of sports medicine.

This wealth of knowledge goes into providing a thorough health screen for all athletes joining the OUBC squad, as well as constant monitoring throughout training, the Boat Race, the Henley Regatta and any major championships.

Rowers can be at particular risk of over-training and are advised to contact us as soon as possible in the event of an injury or illness. OUBC members have access to the OUBC physiotherapy service, and access to other investigations or treatment will be arranged as efficiently as possible.
